This latest piece for the local bartering network, the Silver Lake Time Bank, is around 8 feet by 2 feet…give or take. Soon it will be spangled out with grommets to hang the banner at events. Its been a long time since I worked in color on canvas, so I had to relearn how it drinks up paint and chews up brushes. I hope they like it.
Its nice to see they’re still using that car they gave to Murderface.
The Afternoon Sun here nearly kept Metalocalypse off the air! When I originally designed it there was a by-line below the paper title that included lyrics from Afternoon Delight, by the Starland Vocal Band (Really? Really!). I figured the text would be too small to read, but Cartoon Network held up the episode…all thanks to my dumb ass. Eventually they just cut in a slab of white to cover it up. You should have heard the verbal abuse I took for that one…Anyway its all metal under the bridge now.
