Speaking of mythological albums, here’s an album cover for Parliament Funkadellic from a dozen years ago…an album that never was pressed. I did the color and assembly…along with a few elements, but the design is unmistakably that of Captain Drawski; Mr. Pedro Bell! We never learned why George Clinton didn’t come to the studio to record until I came to work at Titmouse in 2006. The great Overton Loyd was directing a video for Clinton for “Bounce to This”. I got to shoot, drop in some of my backgrounds and animate some sequences! Anyway, the record was to be with Mammoth Records, a successful label that had just been bought by Disney a year prior, but Clinton said the head of the label skipped town with all the bread. That’s the way the cookie crumbles in this crazy business.
