As we reach the end of the video, I bring it back down to a dirty, urban scene, where our band, Oh My God busks for the crowd.
I felt strongly that our man’s fall should take him to war, as it seemed to be the greatest trial one could face. Today’s post is a sampling of the oily, broken landscape so often found on the battlefield…and the innocent who suffer the most.
These three images get to the heart of our man’s problem, in part…
These three elements combine to form a key shot. Just add some tone and our hapless hero…
This week I’m posting the drawings I did to build Oh My God’s “Bring Yourself”. With drawings on only 60 pages or so, I crafted a music video with more than 6600 frames.
This is called “The Fall”. It was the first piece of my main character from “Bring Yourself”, my award winning music video for Oh My God, on Split Red Records. This sad fellow’s journey was all spelled out in this one image. I knew then what I had to do, who he was and where to take him.
